Using cayenne pepper for weight loss isn't a new idea. in fact, it has been used through history for hundreds of years as a way to stimulate digestion and metabolism. Now, before you go and buy a bunch of cayenne pepper, you need to understand that it isn't going to effortlessly make you lose weight. Here's why it *helps*.

Cayenne contains a compound called capsicum, which is a stimulant. When taken orally, either eaten with food, drank with water, or as a capsule, it stimulates your circulatory, respiratory, and digestive systems. It begins by getting your blood moving which provides an increase in energy and rejuvenation. It also helps toxins in your blood to rise to the surface where they are then carried or sweated away.

Capsicum is also an appetite suppressant so when eaten with your food will produce feelings of fullness more quickly than just eating would. Start adding cayenne to your diet by adding ¼ tsp per meal to your food. It may take a few weeks to get used to the heat, but slowly you should begin to feel a bit more energetic.
