Is it bad to workout when you're starting to get sick?

Is it a bad idea to workout or go for a run when you are just starting to come down with a cold. I have tiny sore throat and am feeling like I'm going to come down with something, but feel well enough to workout. Just wondering if working out will help excerbate my cold more or help it go away?
