Being fat can be embarrassing and can be a source of depression and self doubt. No matter how hard you try to lose weight, it can sometimes be very difficult to achieve.  This is where you're self determination and will need to kick in and understand that there's a difference between wanting something, and actually making that something happen.

Obesity can be controlled and avoided by living a healthy lifestyle. Proper nutrition and regular exercise are still the two most important factors to help attain your weight loss goal. Remember not to deprive yourself of food because you need food to stay active and strong to survive your daily activities, but still get stray from eating too many calories or having an unhealthy diet. Remember being CONSISTENT is the key to attaining any fitness or weight loss goal.

Many thought that starving themselves can lead to a slimmer body the fast way. But actually, what they are doing is simply putting their bodies at risk. Yes, it can make you lose weight quickly but it can also cause fainting spells, bulimia, anorexia nervosa, hair loss, weakened immune system, skin problems, and other bodily malfunctions. The important thing to remember in losing weight effectively is that you have to burn more calories than what you consume. You do not want to do this by starving or eating an unhealthy diet.

Here are some ways to lose weight fast and naturally.

  1. Drink water. Consume at least 8 glasses of water daily. Water can make you feel like you are already full as well as shield you from dehydration. It also helps you metabolize stored fat by helping your kidneys flush wastes out of your body.
  2. Eat regularly and in smaller portions. Remember not to starve yourself. Eat at least 5 times a day but in small portions. Eat breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as two snacks in between but in small portions or serving size. Do not deprive yourself of food which you like such as chocolates, cakes, or pizza. You can still eat these kinds of food but just occasionally and in moderation.
  3. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Take only fresh and organic fruits and vegetables. These are good for people on a diet for it is low in fat, but rich in vitamins, minerals and fiber.
  4. Exercise regularly. Diet with no exercise will just produce inefficient and ineffective results. A 30 minute walk or light jog will definitely help you if you are just starting to exercise or workout. Even busy and working people should make time because exercise will keep you vibrant and active.
  5. Avoid processed foods/canned goods. Processed foods contained lots of preservatives like salt, sugar or MSG which can contribute to your obesity.
  6. Get plenty of sleep. You should get at least eight hours of sleep everyday to wake up alive and rejuvenated. Others are too lazy to get up to exercise in the morning because of lack of sleep.
  7. Cut down on your sugar intake. Instead of eating cakes or ice cream for desserts, eat a lot of fresh fruit.
  8. Steam, grill or broil your food. Try to lessen the use of oil when cooking your meals. When you cook your meat or even vegetables, choose to do it by steaming, broiling or grilling.
  9. Lean protein is good. Try to avoid the fat portion of the pork, beef or chicken. Choose to cook lean protein. Leave the skin of the chicken when you are grilling or broiling to cut off some fat in your diet.
  10. Avoid the crash diet. Almost all diet enthusiasts want to lose weight the fastest way possible. But, there’s a saying that “Patience is a Virtue.” To achieve your ideal or normal weight, you have to possess some dedication, determination, patience and consistency. It cannot be attained in just one day or one week.  But, with the proper diet and regular workout regimen, losing weight can be achieved in no time.
