How to Make Cajun Style Shrimp


  • 1 1/2 lbs large shrimp, peeled and de-veined
  • 1 tap paprika
  • 3/4 tsp dried thyme
  • 3/4 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (or as much as needed to suit your tastes)
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp grapeseed oil
  • 1 red pepper, cut into thin slices


  1. Mix the first eight ingredients into a large siplock bag and shake well to mix.
  2. Heat oil over medium heat in a large pan.
  3. Add the red pepper strips and saute until tender.
  4. Add the herb covered shrimp and finish sauting for 5 minutes, until shrimp is no longer pink.
  5. Serve over a large green salad with whole wheat french bread, or on top of sauted spinach with a side of baked sweet potato.
