How to Make Walnut and Honey Crusted Salmon


  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 3 tablespoons whole grain mustard or 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard (or your favorite)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup walnuts or 1/4 cup pecans, finely chopped
  • 4 teaspoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 4 (4 ounce) salmon fillets
  • fresh ground pepper
  • kosher salt
  • 1 quartered limes or 1 lemon (optional)


  1. Preheat your over to 400 deg F. Prepare your roasting pan with a layer of aluminum foil sprayed with a non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In one small bowl, mix the butter, honey and mustard together. In the other bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, nuts and parsley together.
  3. Rinse your salmon filets and pat dry. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. Brush the liquid mixture over the filets and then sprinkle with the dry mixture.
  5. Bake the salmon for 15 – 18 minutes in the oven until the fish flakes easily.
  6. Serve with a squeeze of fresh lemon.
