The Dr. Siegal Cookie Diet is a meal plan comprised of consuming six cookies in combination with one meal per day. Dr. Siegal’s cookies are made with high fiber, high protein, low carbohydrate and a patented ingredient proved to suppress the appetite to ensure that clients adhere to the program. Diet and Nutrition

Dr. Siegal’s Cookie Diet is a prepackaged weight loss program in which you purchase your box of cookies, six cookies per day for seven days. Most people eat three cookies for breakfast, and three for lunch but you can eat two for breakfast, two for lunch, and two for snack before dinner. You will eat up to six cookies per day which equates to roughly 800 calories and 70 grams of carbohydrates along with a meal of your choice. This meal will include roughly a six ounce portion of lean protein along with a cup of vegetables. The cookies come in the following flavors: oatmeal raisin, chocolate, coconut, banana and blueberry. You are encouraged to drink at least eight ounces of water daily as well, to provide adequate fluid for the high fiber cookies. Dr. Siegal’s line of products also includes shakes which are a great alternative to the cookies. Flavors for the shakes include chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, crème brulee, and pina colada. The shakes are easily made with water and ice.

Dr. Siegal’s Cookie Diet has been featured on ABC’s Good Morning America, Entertainment Tonight, CityTV, the New York Times, and other various credible stations. The Cookie Diet, due to its extremely low calorie content, is proven to work and help users lose up to 15 pounds in one month. It is advised to speak to your physician before starting the Cookie Diet, as it is not for everyone. Extremely active persons will find the calorie intake to be inadequate and counterproductive when used with an exercise plan and will be very fatigued. Once you have reached your weight loss goal, you must slowly phase more calories into your meal in order to not regain the weight back. That is the biggest concern with very low calorie diets – the fact that once you reach your target weight, it can be difficult to manipulate your body to a maintenance phase.
